Overview
This Cookie Notice explains which cookies and similar browser-storage technologies Strive Software, Inc. ("Strive") uses on its website and in the Strive application, what they do, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Cookies on the Strive Website
The Strive website does not set cookies. It uses no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies and no third-party cookies, and for that reason it does not display a cookie consent banner: nothing on the website requires your consent under applicable cookie laws.
Session Storage on the Strive Website
The website uses your browser's session storage — a store that your browser clears automatically when you close the tab or window — for two purposes, each strictly necessary to a feature you choose to use:
- Web chat. When you open the chat widget, a random conversation identifier is kept in session storage so that the messages you send during your visit stay in one conversation. It contains no personal information and is discarded when the tab closes.
- Contact forms. When you first arrive on the site, the page you landed on, the site that referred you (if any) and any campaign parameters in the address are kept in session storage. If you submit a contact or access-request form during the same visit, they are attached to that submission so we know how you found us. They are used for nothing else, are never written to a cookie or to persistent storage, and are discarded when the tab closes.
Analytics
Strive measures website traffic with a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not place any identifier on your device. It records aggregated information such as page views, referring sites, and coarse device and location information (browser, operating system, country and region). It cannot be used to identify you or to follow you across other websites.
Cookies in the Strive Application
When you sign in to the Strive application, it uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. These cookies are essential to providing the service you have requested and cannot be switched off within the application; if you block them in your browser, you will not be able to sign in.
How to Control Cookies and Storage
Because the website sets no cookies and uses session storage only for features you choose to use, there is nothing to opt out of while browsing. You can still:
- Clear session storage at any time by closing the browser tab or window.
- Block or delete cookies and site data through your browser's settings. Instructions are available from each browser's maker, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
- Sign out of the Strive application, which ends your session.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using the Strive application.
Changes to This Notice
We will update this notice if the cookies or storage technologies we use change, and the date at the top of this page will change with it. Where a change would require your consent, we will ask for it before the change takes effect.
